Director of Clinical Services
My role prior to joining the Dream Team was receiving my Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Northern Colorado in 2006 and a Master of Social Work in 2012 from Colorado State University. I have spent seven years as a classroom teacher, both in general and special education environments. Following my time as a teacher, I spent nearly five years at Children’s Hospital Colorado working on the Neuropsychiatric Special Care Unit where I earned my Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credentials. In addition to working with Dreamers, I have a private therapy practice where I work with children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder, other developmental disabilities, ADHD, behavioral challenges, anxiety, depression, and trauma.

When I am not working with our Dreamers, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outside with my puppy, Luna, going to the mountains, trying new recipes, and being creative and crafty! I also enjoy traveling to new places and learning about other cultures!

Senior Director of Partnerships & Programs
My role prior to joining the Dream Team was as the Senior Manager of Intensive School Support & Redesign of Denver Public Schools, supporting school teams and leaders with innovation resources to create sustainable change. I began my career in education teaching high school geography and economics in Memphis, Tennessee, and started my school leadership journey as a school administrator, focusing on school turnaround efforts in DPS. In addition to my work as CIHAD’s Senior Director of Partnerships and Programs, I currently serve on the Centennial Public Safety Advisory Board and as an Affiliate Professor at Metropolitan State University. I graduated from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff with a Bachelor’s degree in History and from the Union University with a Masters in Educational Leadership & Policy. I’m currently pursuing my Ed. D., from the University of Denver.

When I am not working with our Dreamers, you can find me writing, painting, and spending time with my wife and two girls.
VICE PRESIDENT OF FINANCE AND OPERATIONS
My role prior to joining the Dream Team in 2008 was working with Paradise Television and the Pacific Whale Foundation in Maui. I bring over 20 years of administrative experience working in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors. I’m a fourth-generation Colorado native and earned my Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications with an emphasis on public relations and advertising along with a Minor in sociology from the University of Northern Colorado. I have been with the organization for over 11 years, and during this time have expanded my role from the office manager, into an administrative director, followed by director of finance & operations and now currently as the Vice President of Finance & Operations.

My role prior to joining the Dream Team was as a mechanical engineer working within a manufacturing/technology leadership program in the oil and gas industry of Houston, TX. During my time in college I was involved in new product development roles as well as a math/physics tutor for over 2 years with the Plano Independent School District. From my life experiences, I bring my passion for working with students on making math and science easy to understand and a love for the challenges that STEM careers bring to the table. I graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelors’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
If we Dream Together, I believe we can prepare and encourage students to take advantage of the opportunities they encounter, no matter their circumstances.
When I am not working with our Dreamers, you can find me exploring the mountains, learning more about programming/math/science, and taking naps with my dogs.
SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING SPECIALIST
My role prior to joining the Dream Team was creating and leading experiential workshops as a Research & Wellness Consultant in NYC. I’ve partnered with schools, nonprofit organizations, farms, after school programs, sports teams, and hospitals to support kids and adults along their wellness journey.

When I am not working with our Dreamers, you can find me dog watching at any of the parks around Denver, practicing yoga, and exploring in nature.

President & CEO
My role prior to joining the Dream Team was as the Chief Executive Officer of KIPP Colorado Schools, growing the organization from three to six schools serving 2,500 students in Denver. I began my career as a teacher working in New Jersey and California before transitioning to founding school principal, Director of Professional Development, Regional Vice President, and Chief Academic Officer roles with Lighthouse Academies. In addition to my work as CIHAD’s President & CEO, I currently serve on the Mockingbird Foundation Board, Colorado League of Charter Schools Board, University Prep Board, and Democrats for Education Reform (DFER) – Colorado Advisory Board. I graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor’s degree in German and History and from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Masters in Educational Leadership & Organizations.

When I am not working with our Dreamers, you can find me reading, cooking, baking, spending time outdoors, or spending time with my husband and two girls.

My role prior to joining the Dream Team was receiving my Bachelor’s in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Denver in 2015 and then my Masters In Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University in 2019. For the past 5 years, I have worked as a Senior Mental Health Counselor at the Children Hospital in Colorado in the Neuropsychiatric Special Care Unit. While there, I provided crisis intervention for children who had been diagnosed with autism or developmental disabilities. Along with my role at Children’s, I completed an internship at Judi’s House as a Grief Counselor and continued my role after graduation. While there, I provided play, group, and talk therapy for children and families working through, trauma, grief, anxiety, family systems, and depression.

When I am not working with our Dreamers, you can find me outside enjoying the sunshine! I love walking or playing with my dog, Olive, and spending time with my friends and family. You may also find me dancing, traveling, or enjoying our Colorado mountains!
